MINUTES OF AFFC AGM HELD AT HMAS HARMAN ON 10 APRIL 06

1. The Chair opened the meeting at 0910 hours and welcomed all attendees to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) Of the Air Force Football Club (AFFC).

ITEM 1– REVIEW OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING

2. The minutes of the previous meeting were read. No problems arose.

ITEM 2– POSITIONS REPORTS

3. President. Thanked club for all the work done to produce a successful carnival especially Todd Goldsmith and Paul James. It was requested that members from the women’s team apply to fill shadow positions to allow for more involvement from the women’s team in planning for the carnival. Matthew Lee reminded members when wearing their AFFC polo they were representing not only the club and its sponsors but also the Air Force. The sports council provided $7000 to the club this year. There is still a need to increase sponsorship.

4. Vice President. Absent.

5. Treasurer. There is approximately $2000 left in the account after all debits and credits are taken into account.

6. Sponsorship. CUB’s term has expired but they have agreed to resign. Dyncorp’s terms have not been agreed on but a one-year deal has been discussed. A new sponsor was identified in Australian Aerospace.

7. Newsletter/ Web Page. Need for the web site to be populated.

8. Promotions. The open day at Hawthorn was a success and should be pursued again this coming year. The new promotions committee member should liase with the Air Force news.
